APPLE FRITTERS

Writer: Lizzie LoveLizzie Love

This is 30th episode of Lizzie Love's Kitchen Season 2.

Today I made some gluten free, vegan, sugar free apple fritters. Eat and stay hydrated with me! This episode was recorded in front of a live cam room audience and includes their participation through the chatroom. Episode intro and outro by @Styles_211 on twitter. Visual versions of this podcast can be found on itslizzielove.com. Very experimental first time making apple fritters!

Recipe:

Step one: Mix 2 tbsp ground flax with 4 tbsp water and set aside (flax egg)

Step two: Peel, core, and cube two apples

Step three: Add 3 tbsp of melted coconut oil, 1 cup of coconut milk, some stevia/monkfruit drops, and flax egg into a bowl, mix

Step four: Blend 1.5 cups of oats (sprouted, organic) into a flour. Add 2 tsp baking powder, a pinch of salt, some cardamom, cinnamon, and ground cloves to everything and mix

Step five: Mix dry and wet ingredients together

Step six: Add apples and mix

Step seven: Scoop out 1/4 cup at a time onto a parchment lined baking sheet or air fryer (make sure your oven is preheated to like 400ish? idk lol)

Step eight: Air fry for 10 minutes at 400 or bake at 400 around 10 min idk?? At least until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.

Step nine: Melt 4 tbsp of coconut butter with some stevia/monkfruit and a little bit of coconut milk to make the glaze

Step ten: Once your fritters are out of the oven/fryer, let them cool for 15 minutes and glaze them with the glaze. The end!
